A Day In Library

1, 2, 3..... Yes today I was in my uni library for the 3rd time, in this academic year. 1st time, was to borrow books for geology project. 2nd time, was to borrow books for 2nd geology project. And here came the 3rd time today.

Staying in the library reminded of my first year in IC. The time I spent in library doing Basic Mechanics, memorising Materials, practising Mathematics and etc. I was also reminded of the days I stayed in South Kensington. Drooled in front of the Lamborghini show room everyday on my way to uni. Watched thousands of TVB series with WY and YC. Spent a lot of gay nights in WY's hall. LD call to Cheryl every weekends. Drinking in XQ's room. And etc.

Despite all the memories, I was able to regain my peaceful mind.

Except the fact that some fucking losers kept talking like nobody's business in the Quiet Zone. Geesh I was so pissed off. I switched to a place further to them. And guess what? I could hear them chit chatting again. *More Geesh*

Dinner in Paper Tiger recalled the conversation we had everytime:

Want la!
Don't want la!
Want la! Long time never go!
Don't want la!
Want la! Just go la!
Don't want la!
................

The persuasion WY had to make on me everytime to go to Paper Tiger. Suddenly, 3 years has passed.

I have mixed feelings today. Nostalgic, and also, alarmed.

Day to exams: 26 days.
Level of preparation: HxiLxt. Extremely low, and slow.

  • Try to get yourself a pair of ear plugs (can't remember if it's 24 dB or 34 dB which is the highest index and can block out quite some noise) at any nearby pharmacies.

Not everyday we can study very efficiently given the perfect conditions. And when you can finally study, there comes some @$@#%^&$ who must chat nowhere else but the quiet study area. I stopped hoping and bought myself a few pairs of earplugs, which really saved me, many times.

  • I'm fine.

Generally, the earplugs are either made of plastic or foam. I always use the foam made ones as I find them more comfortable and it's 1 size fits all. where as the plastic made ones come in different sizes, means that they're not the soft-comfy type like the foam.

Well, just giving you an option to consider. Don't put too much time finding one pair. In my case they just helped me a lot. Lastly, good luck in your exams. Erm.. yeap...good luck to WY too.
